Writing Quote Wednesday: Sunlight
“There is so much talk of creative ‘breakthroughs’ that many of us expect our creativity to be dramatic. This is seldom the case. Very occasionally, we will have a flash of insight or intuition but more often we will experience a slow and steady course. Our creativity resembles sunlight more than lightning.”
—Julia Cameron, Finding Water, p. 261
I’ve been plugging away at PiBoIdMo this month. I have yet to have a bolt of lightning hit me with an idea. However, I found ideas in the Drumstick Dash we participated in on Thanksgiving Day, in the bathtub, and in a hilarious Facebook post (not mine, but someone else’s). I’m glad those small rays of sunshine have made their way to my idea detective brain this month.
