Writing Quote Wednesday: Becoming an Artist
“You don’t make art after you become an artist. You become an artist by ceaselessly making art.”
–Seth Godin, THE ICARUS DECEPTION: HOW HIGH WILL YOU FLY?
These pea shoots are barely popping out of the March ground. But little by little they will make their way up to the top of the bamboo trellis–6 feet into the air.
It reminds me of writing. You start off with a smidgen of an idea. It grows slowly as you write and write, revise and rewrite until it is a book, full and blossoming.

I highly recommend Seth Godin’s book, THE ICARUS DECEPTION: HOW HIGH WILL YOU FLY? for a good shot in the arm of writerly inspiration.
