I’m not 100% sure this is seaweed. I spent way too long looking at pictures online to try to get an ID. If anyone knows, please share!
What I’m Reading
by Jasminne Mendez
This is a lovely middle grade novel-in-verse that deals with secrets and family relationships. I loved the way that Mendez utilized white space and the ability to use poetic license to tell the story.

Seaweed is such a strange thing to me, it’s feel, color and shape. It is a living sculpture, and so salty.

This was a different type of seaweed than I’ve seen before. If it is a seaweed. It was stunning!
